Our Instructors

MASTER DANIEL KIM:

Master Kim began his Martial arts training at the early age of 4 under Grand Master Chan Young Kim, father of Olympic Gold Medallist Jimmy Kim until the age of 15.  Then, wanting to expand his knowledge of Martial Arts he trained under the close guidance of Master Pely Ferrer in the art of Muay Thai and Eskrima (Filipino Stick Fighting) while continuing to train and compete in Taekwondo.  He then had the opportunity to train with the U.S. National Team Coach, Master Jong Gol Park where he sharpened his competition skills and training methods.  He has been involved with Martial Arts for over 20 years and throughout the course of his career has impressive wins at several local, state, National, and International Championships.

He now dedicates all of his time to teaching, and passing on the great life lessons he has learned through his training in Martial Arts.  With his versatile training methods and an AWESOME STAFF, he has passes on his competition success to Team Performance members who have an impeccable record of wins at local, state, and USAT Nationals.  With just 1 year of training, Team Performance brought back a National Champion as well as four team members who placed top 4 in the Nation!

Motto: Dream BIG… OR DON’T DREAM AT ALL!!!

MANAGER JANE KIM:

Mrs. Kim is the Manager at PMAC. She is in charge of day-to-day operations.  If you have any questions, need to place an order, register to start classes, or even strike up a conversation then she will definitely be someone you can depend on.  In addition to her duties, she provides tutoring services at the studio for those in need of extra help on schoolwork.  She will be the lead director of our After School Program (in development).

Mrs. Kim graduated high school with High Honors as a Distinguished Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society.  Then she went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of California, Los Angeles.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING: KIERA HOYLE

We at PMAC are proud to say that we are not all about kicking and punching.  First and foremost we are a character development center.  We believe that individuals must have great character as well as a great education to be truly successful in life.  Mrs. Hoyle is our current Character Coach for our students who are in our upgraded programs.  She is the perfect role model for our children and she conducts Mat Chats with the children on topics such as Leadership, Vision, Honesty, and many other topics.  In addition to the Mat Chats she reviews the Project of the Month with the children and rewards them for completed projects.

She also assists in our SHOWTIME DEMO TEAM!  She delivered a stunning performance at our last Demo @ Quake Stadium where she broke a board performing a cartwheel.  She is currently our lead in our next performance for the Founders Day Parade where she will perform using Nunchuks.  She is a great example of how a parent should be and we at PMAC think...............SHES AWESOME!

MOTTO : "Live each day as if there were no tomorrow, therefore if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today."

COACH CARYN KRATZER:

Coach Kratzer started her Taekwondo career as a way of spending quality time with her two daughters who are currently training in Taekwondo.  That simple step has led her to becoming a full time staff member!  She assists in our Pre-School LiL Ninja and Mighty Ninja programs and she assists in the competition training class.  She is present every day that we are open and if you have any questions she would love to help you out.  We are truly blessed to have her in our family.

COACH JOSEPH PARRA:

Coach Parra started off as a parent watching his son train.  He never missed a day, if his son was at class he made sure he watched.  After seeing his dedication to his child he was asked if he would like to help out with class.  Coach Parra has been with us since our competition team was in its infancy state and he has helped with the training and is a huge part of how we are now a team with State and National Champions!  He is very positive, and great with kids!

MOTTO : "If your goal is to win, then you must first have the desire to prepare!"

COACH STEVE TAKEDA:

Coach Takeda has been side by side with Master Kim for almost 3 years.  He started with Master Kim before he opened PMAC when he used to teach for a recreational program in the city of Lakewood, California.  He now drives out to Rancho two times per week (driving almost 1 hour each way) to assist and train our competition team.  His daughter Jordan, who is a member of Team Performance, is a CALIFORNIA STATE TEAM MEMBER!  His dedication to our team and his daughter is one that cannot go unnoticed.  He is truly an asset to our school!

MOTTO: “Success is the result of Belief, Hard Work, and Perseverance.

COACH VANCE VANEVENHOVEN:

We are pleased to introduce to you Coach V.  Coach V. initially started with us as a spectator who came to support his daughter Sydnie (2 tournaments, 2 gold medals).  After watching for 2 months he decided it would be better for him to train rather then sit on a chair and watch.  Since then he has competed and won a Gold Medal at the California Cup and now dedicates his time to coaching our Team!  Not only is Coach V. a great asset to our Team but for our School as well.  He has the experience of employing over 200 employees at his previous business which he has now sold (Keller Williams Rancho and Fontana).  He currently owns 3 businesses Blackstone Realty, Lighthouse Lending, and Victoria Escrow Co!  His guidance is much appreciated and we are extremely blessed to have him not only on our Competition Team but as a Business Mentor as well!

JUNIOR INST. JORDAN TAKEDA:

Ms. Jordan has been training in the art of Taekwondo for 3 years.  She is a current California State Team Member (sparring) and she is an assistant instructor for our pre-school LiL Ninja and Mighty Ninja Class.  It is amazing to watch her as she is very soft spoken and supportive of our students, then turns on her fierceness when it's her time to train!

JUNIOR INST. DANELL KRATZER:

Ms. Danell has only been involved with Taekwondo for a short amount of time yet she attends class every day which has catapulted her into being ranked #3 in the Nation!  She is only 7 years old yet her display of leadership is truly an awesome sight!  Her dream is to become a Master Black Belt and own her very own restaurant called "Lovies," a three story date spot with Love as a theme.  FYI: Her middle name is Lovie!
